Is the vaccine schedule safe? We don't know.
There is no study comparing the health of vaccinated verses unvaccinated children in the U.S. and the CDC refuses to conduct one. A Bill has been introduced to Congress that would require the CDC to commission such a study by an unbiased source. It has less than 5% chance of passing.
Parents want this because it is the only way to know the overall impact of the vaccine schedule as a whole. There are no other studies that look at the impact or safety of the entire schedule.
Clear statistics would shut down the autism vaccine link once and for all. So why wont the CDC do it? What about other concerns: SIDS, ADHD, asthma, allergies, cancer, etc. How do the rates compare? We don't know. And we are not about to find out. Why?
3) The Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986
This law shielded drug companies from being sued for damages caused by a vaccine on the routine childhood vaccine schedule. Tax payers provide their attorney. Drug company representatives don't even have to show up.
Since 1986, the CDC toddler vaccine schedule has grown from 10 to 36 "liability free" vaccines which can be mandated in all 50 states. What was the likely reason for this increase? Do you recall any mass epidemics that necessitated this change?

The only large scale epidemiological study using American data that has been conducted by the CDC revealed a clear link between thimerosal in vaccines and autism.
And they never released it.
Instead, that's when Dr Fugitive (Poul Thorsen) enters the picture.
The study became public through the Freedom of Information Act.

Secret meeting held to discuss the findings of Verstraeten study. Included leaders from World Health Organization, American Pediatric Association, the CDC and executives from all drug companies. Co-Author with Dr Wakefield in the (retracted) Lancet Study that suggested a link between MMR and autism. What is not known is that Professor John Walker-Smith has since filed and won his appeal. He has been fully exonerated. This would not have happened if there was anything fraudulent in the study.
Professor John Walker-Smith is known as the father of gastroenterology and world renown. He is now retired. The report was important because in it, Professor John Walker-Smith identified an entirely new bowel disease which he termed Autistic Enterocolitis. Dr Wakefield has not filed an appeal but is considered heroic among the autism community. He has been healing children of this disease through a center in Austen. You can find many videos of Dr Wakefield defending his research and the parents of the vaccine injured on YouTube. Pick one.
7) Dr Arthur Krigsman
Others have repeated the Wakefield findings but Krigsman did it in a way that can not and has not been refuted. The best way to understand is to watch this short clip:

This work, which has been kept away from mainstream, is so very important because it suggest regressive autism is treatable. Many children have made tremendous progress if not un-diagnosed once their bowel symptoms are healed. At minimum their biopsies reveal a child in tremendous pain who has lost the ability to communicate. This could explain a lot of autistic behavior.
